Iraqi officials: OPEC and other oil producing countries may hold a meeting in Russia in May

[China paint information] Fayyad al NIMA, Deputy Minister of oil of Iraq, said on Wednesday (April 20) that major members of the organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and other oil producing countries may hold a meeting in Russia next month, Make a new wave of efforts to reach a production freeze agreement and push up crude oil prices
Al NIMA is now the Minister of oil. Last month, Iraqi oil minister adelabdul Mahdi suspended his participation in Cabinet Affairs. He predicted that oil prices would rise slowly, even if OPEC and other oil producing countries failed to reach an agreement on the production freeze at the Doha Conference. Al NIMA emphasized that "Iraq plans to participate in the Russian conference."he pointed out, "Iraq's crude oil in May, including the Kurdish region, must therefore be exported in strict accordance with the above startup sequence, and the export volume will remain at the current level of 3.9 million barrels/day. At the same time, including the Kurdish region in the north, Iraq's current crude oil production is 4.7 million barrels -4.8 million barrels/day."
Al NIMA revealed that the Iraqi Ministry of oil and the international oil companies operating in Iraq are conducting negotiations on reducing production costs, and the negotiations are progressing smoothly.
